Location: Attleboro, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday / 7:00 am-3:30 pm
Pay: $16.50 hr.

We are currently recruiting for the 1st Shift Machine Operator position for our client located in Attleboro, MA. This position offers the opportunity for temp-to-hire employment with a competitive pay rate and a dynamic work environment.
Position Overview: As a 1st Shift Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery associated with the production of high-precision parts. You will play a critical role in producing quality products for our customers while adhering to safety standards and production requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery to produce high-precision parts according to specifications.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to measure performance for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Participate in scrap and rework elimination projects and other kaizen events.
- Work from work instructions, prints, engineering layouts, and verbal instructions.
- Perform machine setup, operation, adjustment, and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct piece inspections and make required adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Complete required quality and production reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machines, including lubrication.
- Attend required training programs and assist in training other associates.
- Use lift equipment as necessary to move and position stock and parts.
- Lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds or more if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Basic computer knowledge to enter data into production applications and complete required reports.
- Strong attention to detail to detect and identify typical defects found in materials.
- Ability to lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds or more if applicable.
- Willingness to work as a team player and meet deadlines.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- At least 9 months of work experience and/or volunteer experience.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
