Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting for 1st Shift Material Handler for our client located in Smithfield, RI 

Temp to Hire Position
Schedule: Monday to Friday - Starting at 6:00 a.m. 
The pay rate is between $19.60 hr. - $20.45 hr. (Depending on experience)
 
Job Summary:  We are seeking a self-motivated Material Handler to join our warehouse department. If you are a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully, we are interested in you. If you are looking for an exciting place to work, please look at the list of qualifications below.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manually pick and stage correct warehouse items at the appropriate loading dock location.
  • Use of hand-held scanner to locate items and move them to the appropriate dock door.
  • Move any damaged or non-conforming items to the appropriate area for reclaim or RTV.
  • Use of a forklift, reach truck or order picker will be required.
  • safely conduct all activities, adhering to company safety standards.
  • Meet standards for quality as set forth by the company by inspecting product as pulled and/or loaded.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and organization on the loading dock and warehouse aisles.
  • Strive to meet team efficiencies for items pulled without compromising accuracy.
  • May be required to assist in unloading or loading trucks when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Forklift, reach truck, and order picker experience required.  
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy items weighing up to 75 pounds (or more if applicable)
  • Knowledge of specific tools and equipment necessary to perform required duties.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work as a team player.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
