Schedule: Monday to Thursday / 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Possible OT on Friday)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Summary:
Debbie’s Staffing is seeking candidates for a 2nd Shift Machine Operator for our client in Attleboro, MA. The role involves operating machinery associated with high precision parts production, and ensuring the delivery of quality products to our customers. This position offers an opportunity to work with single-feature machines and complex inspection and testing equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment.
• Participate as a member of work teams and assist in measuring team performance for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Participate in Level 3 activities such as scrap and rework elimination projects and other kaizen events.
• Work from work instructions, prints, in-process inspection plans, engineering layouts, customer specifications, and written and verbal instructions.
• Machine parts, load and unload parts, and operate and adjust machines and equipment to maintain required sizes and finishes.
• Monitor operation and controls, make piece inspections, and perform any required adjustments.
• Use a variety of gauges and measuring instruments to maintain tolerance, parallelism, concentricity, and finish.
• Meet quality standards while maintaining the expected production rate.
• Replace worn or dull tooling, wash, and pack parts as required.
• Accurately complete required quality and production reports and records using paper and electronic computer applications.
• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machines, including lubrication.
• Detect and report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to the supervisor.
• Attend required training programs and assist in training other associates in procedures and equipment use.
• Arrange schedules to meet customer needs and may use lift equipment as necessary to move and position stock and parts.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
• Basic computer knowledge to enter data into production applications and complete required reports.
• Strong attention to detail to detect and identify typical material defects.
• Ability to lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds or more if applicable.
• Willingness to work as a team player and meet deadlines.
• Manufacturing experience preferred with at least 9 months of work experience and/or volunteer experience.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
