Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting a 2nd Shift Quality Inspector for our client located in North Kingstown, RI
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday 3:00 pm – 1:30 am
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Position Overview: Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards. Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process. Inspect, test or measure materials or products being produced
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Read drawings and instructions to understand the requirements for the product or parts
- Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality requirements
- Select samples and inspect them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.).
- Perform Incoming, In-process and final inspections. As well as rework and sorting of defective materials and products
- Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
- Prepare and submit inspection reports to the quality manager as needed
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager
Qualifications:
- ASQ-QI Certification a plus
Education and Experience:
- High School Degree or GED required
- 1 Year experience as quality inspector or relevant role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with measuring equipment, calipers, micrometers etc.
- Working knowledge of MS Office
