We have immediate openings for an Administrative Assistant of HR
1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00am- 4:30pm

Base Pay: $17.00/hour
Job Summary:
Develop and publicize the daily transportation plan for the successful and safe movement of raw materials, WIP, and customer freight for a specified portion of the overall supply chain network.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
Experience
• 1-3 years of transportation, logistics, or customer care experience
• Experience working with transportation management systems
• Hands on experience and understanding of ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Experience working with carriers and customer service preferred
Skills
• Excellent personal computer skills in a network environment
• Efficient Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Ability to build business relationships and work effectively with all levels of employees , the customer’s organization, and our outside vendors and suppliers.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Education
• An Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, or Logistics or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop the daily transportation plan to support the manufacturing clients and customers
• Learn and utilize transportation management system (e.g. TMS) and other tools
• Assess daily operations/performance of the FTL, LTL, and Small Package networks contracted to execute the transportation plan.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues against the published plan, client/provider agreements, and customer expectations
• Work closely and in conjunction with carrier customer service representatives, internal clients, and external customers to mitigate exceptions
• Coach/Counsel carriers when lane performance falls below threshold levels
• Conduct after hours and weekend support for our manufacturing locations and FTL carriers
• Accomplish other duties as directed by supervisor
• Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
SCOPE & EXPECATIONS:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear; and occasionally required to sit
• The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Typical office environment and use all required PPE
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Reports to: Transportation Manager
• Occasional weekend work may be required
• Travel Requirements:
o Less than 10% travel can be expected
• Recruitment process may consist of any combination of phone, video and in person interviews.
• Offers may be contingent upon successful completion of Background Check, Drug Screen, Physical Examination and/or potential Motor Vehicle Check.
