Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting for Assemblers/ Loaders for our client located in Smithfield, RI!
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30 pm
Pay: $15.250 per hour. Long-Term
Job Summary: Assembles precut wooden pieces to form reels for winding cables or strands: Measures parts, using measuring tape and rule, and assembles them, using hammer. Weighs, marks, and attaches tags to full reels. Rolls reels to stock house.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Reading orders and verifying proper material from stock
• Using handcart or forklift to move belting material to workstation and placing it on holders for slitting / cutting machine
• Setting up and operating slitting / cutting machine to slit / cut material according to order specifications
• Must be able to assemble large wooden Reels used in the cable industry. (50+ pounds)
• Must have hands on experience using hand tools and table saw knowledge.
• Load Reels onto truck after completion.
• Facility temperature is constant 50 degrees (winter months).

• Ability to independently and safely use and/or operate necessary machinery, tools and equipment.
• Must work well with others and work independently
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to understand and comply with company and safety rules/policies
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver large rolls of belting material weighing up to 500lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation.
•Ability to read and understand written order specifications, including units of measure in both English and Metric.
