Pay Rate: $60,000 - $65,000 per year and up DOE
Job Summary: We are pleased to present an outstanding opportunity for a Collections and Bankruptcy Lawyer with our esteemed client, a prominent law firm specializing in collections and bankruptcy law. We are seeking an experienced professional to join their team, offering expertise in managing collections, navigating bankruptcy proceedings, and handling related litigation matters. This role includes occasional travel to Memphis, Tennessee, for client meetings and court appearances.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage a caseload of collections and bankruptcy matters from inception to resolution.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to fortify case strategy and preparation.
- Skillfully draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and bankruptcy petitions.
- Provide adept representation for clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- Foster productive collaborations with clients, creditors, and stakeholders involved in collections and bankruptcy matters.
- Stay abreast of evolving bankruptcy laws and regulations to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Undertake travel to Memphis, Tennessee, as necessary for client engagements and court obligations.
Position Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar in good standing.
- 3 years of proven experience practicing collections and bankruptcy law.
- Profound understanding of bankruptcy laws and procedural intricacies.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing litigation matters associated with collections and bankruptcy.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage a diverse caseload.
- Willingness to undertake travel to Memphis, Tennessee, for professional obligations.
