Debbie’s Staffing is seeking an experienced Contracts Director for our client in Hudson, MA.
 
Salary $90 - $120k per year depending on experience.
Schedule – Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Temp to Hire or Direct Hire position!!
 
Summary: This is a Temp–Hire or Direct Hire opportunity for a qualified candidate who possesses a bachelor’s degree and (4) years of management experience and supervision of paid professional staff in a manufacturing setting; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field and (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the implementation of manufacturing programs, which includes contract development and monitoring, and supervision of paid professional staff.  An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to effectively perform the essential functions of the position may be considered. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees the administration of the agency’s subcontracting and contracting functions over a broad range of agreements, programs, grants, and procurement, including the activities of the Contracts Manager
  • Monitors and reviews subcontractors and related program expenditures and budgets; makes recommendations and provides approval where applicable. 
  • Acts as an advisor to the President and CFO providing consultation, recommendations, support, and expertise.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with the Company’s customer network as it relates to contracting and applicable programs.
  • Leads and coordinates the Company’s Federal Monitoring functions. 
  • Leads and coordinates the agency’s required FARS/DFARS reporting functions. 
  • Assesses and resolves risk and liability issues as it pertains to contract management and administration.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations, and procedures as amended.
  • Writes and reviews policies and procedures related to the Company’s planning, contracting, and administrative functions.
  • Participates in contract negotiations. 
  • Participates in the development and review of the Company’s budgets. 
  • Participates in collective bargaining agreement negotiations and serves on the Labor Management Committee

  • Knowledge and experience developing, writing, and monitoring contracts, subcontracts, and policies and procedures.

  • Establishes and utilizes effective and efficient communication practices and principles verbally and in writing; can effectively disseminate and manage information to/with multiple parties.
  • Cultivates strong and effective working relationships with the Company’s staff and partners/stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to objectively facilitate and navigate challenging situations or conversations; can effectively resolve conflict amicably and professionally.
  • Demonstrated skill in working with governmental organizations, customers, vendors, or similar. 
  • Effectively monitors and evaluates team and individual staff performance; provides feedback and results; defines purpose and expectations; sets and meets strategic goals.
  • Knowledge of planning principles, tools, and techniques, including public involvement 
  • Successfully pass a background check according to FARS/DFARS
  • Previous experience working with Government Contracts. 
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUM
  • Bachelor’s degree and (4) years of management experience and supervision of paid professional staff in a manufacturing setting; or bachelor’s degree in a related field and (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the implementation of manufacturing programs, which includes contract development and monitoring, and supervision of paid professional staff.
