Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30p.m Monday-Friday

 

Pay rate: $90k-$120k per year.

Job Description Summary:

 

The Controller will be a strategic business partner to the CFO and other members of the management team. The role requires a dynamic individual, strong financially and operationally, who will be responsible for the management of the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.

 

Major Responsibilities 

•Overall responsibility for accounting and financial reporting functions

• Maintain chart of accounts

 Maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions

 Assist with payroll functions including maintaining proper controls, time reporting, and reconciliation of payroll account

•Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations

•Ensuring that billings, collections, and credit functions operate efficiently and effectively. 

•Ensures integrity of financial data.

•Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships

•Research and assess best practices, proposing methods and improvements

 

 

Qualifications 

  1. BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CMA is preferred.
  2. Government contracting experience is a plus.
  3. 5-10 years of proven hands-on financial management experience.
  4. Strong knowledge of GAAP required.
  5. Experience working with DCAA and DCMA auditors a plus.
  6. Experience with ERP systems a must
  7. Experience using Global Shop Solutions ERP system a plus.
  8. Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  9. Leadership style reflecting a spirit of teamwork and collegiality.
  10. Highly intelligent and analytical thinker with the ability to make sound business judgment.
  11. Personal qualities of maturity and creativity, coupled with high standards reflecting a strong work ethic and integrity.
  12. Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  13. Executive presence with the ability to move agendas up, down and across the organization.
  14. Willingness to make difficult decisions in a timely manner.
