Job Description

 
Debbie’s Staffing is looking for a skilled and experienced Digital Press Artist/Operator for our client in Greensboro, NC.  The artist must be familiar with InDesign and layouts for printing.
 
The right candidate must have excellent pre-press skills and experience prepping files for printing.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Organize and schedule work for the printers.
  • Prep files to be printed
  • Analyzes customer files for fonts, images, integrity, and printability.
  • Make file corrections as requested.
  • Create soft and hard copy proofs for internal proofing.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and product generated, utilizing internal job tickets and tracking systems.
  • Monitor quality of job output for correctness of color and image quality.
  • Act as liaison between departments and participate in the production process.
  • Processing of the variable data through the use of  a Design Merge software
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 years in a prepress production (offset or digital printing)
  • Expertise in Adobe CC Suite and font libraries.
  • Experience with Fiery RIP, InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and be proficient.
  • Must have working knowledge of Adobe CS Suite
  • Ability to recognize and visually differentiate colors.
  • Excellent proofing skills with an ability to read and apply math functions, including fractions, decimals and percentages.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize work and minimize production downtime
  • Understanding of FTP.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work overtime as needed. 
  • Seeking a responsible, seasoned individual with a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Must have good rapport to communicate with graphics and customer service
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills along with a dedication to take care of the customer.
  • Graphic Design Experience Required.
