Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting a Director of Total Rewards to work for our client in Winston-Salem, NC.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Job Summary: The Director of Total Rewards will lead the organization’s compensation, benefits, and recognition programs. This role ensures the total rewards strategy aligns with the company’s objectives and helps to attract and retain top talent. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership to design competitive compensation and benefits packages while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive total rewards strategy, including base pay, variable pay (bonuses, commissions, etc.), incentive pay, benefits, work-life programs, and recognition initiatives.
- Conduct market research and stay up to date with compensation and benefits trends to ensure programs remain competitive.
- Oversee the current annual merit process, ensuring fair and equitable compensation adjustments.
- Ensure all aspects of compensation and benefits comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Payroll processes, including bi-weekly, monthly, and bonus payments.
- Analyze data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of total rewards programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver communication plans to enhance employees’ understanding and appreciation of the total rewards package.
- Manage and mentor a team of compensation, benefits, and payroll professionals.
- Partner with business leaders to align total rewards programs with business goals and talent acquisition strategies.
- Provide recommendations on executive compensation during recruitment, ensuring alignment with company performance and market benchmarks.
- Stay informed on legislative and regulatory changes affecting compensation and benefits.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree a plus).
- 5-7 years of experience in total rewards management, with proven success in developing competitive programs.
- 3+ years of management experience in Human Resources/Total Rewards or equivalent combination of education and management experience.
- HR/Total Rewards Certifications (CCP, CEBS, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CPP) preferred.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, salary structures, variable pay plans, bonus programs, and benefits packages.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HR technology and data analysis tools.
