Experienced Engineering Project Manager in the Northern VA/Richmond area!
Are you a dynamic leader with a proven track record in engineering project management? As a key player on our client’s team, you will be responsible for overseeing water infrastructure projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery within budget and on schedule.
Temp-to-Hire position
Location: Rockville, VA
Salary: $200,000 per year
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water infrastructure design projects and construction.
- Skilled leader and team player with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in the design of water treatment and wastewater treatment plants.
- Proficient in the design of stormwater pumping stations, wastewater lift stations, and potable water pumping stations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water infrastructure design projects and construction.
- Good driving record and a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Project Manager or Project Technical Lead for water infrastructure projects, overseeing pumping stations, conveyance, wastewater treatment, and water treatment, with responsibility for reviewing and sealing projects.
- Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery, technical quality, and adherence to budget.
- Execute multiple concurrent projects efficiently.
- Apply industry and client standards and requirements effectively.
- Coordinate permits for projects, involving meetings with clients, contractors, and utility companies, and reviewing and permitting governmental agencies.
- Act as a technical resource by guiding other team members on technically complex projects.
- Safely conduct work, promoting health and safety within the office and on-site visits.
- Lead and assist with proposals and prepare technical aspects for project interviews with clients.
- Fieldwork may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
- Budget tracking and reporting.
