Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting a Facilities Helper for our client located in North Kingstown, RI
Schedule: Monday to Friday / 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Pay: $16 per hour
Job Summary: Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, and knowledge of electrical safety.
Responsibilities:
- Collect all trash and recyclable materials from the manufacturing floor and other areas of the facility.
- Clean and maintain safety walkways (including snow removal) and building utility areas/rooms.
- Assist in the overall maintenance of the facility.
- Assist in the upkeep of outside grounds.
- Assist in the overall maintenance and care of all safety equipment.
- Promote a safe working environment, practice 5S, and correct safety and facility deficiencies.
- Assist in the Hazardous Waste Management program.
- Monitor manufacturing support equipment performance as required.
- Performing additional assignments as directed by the Facilities Manager
Qualifications:
- Proficient at operating facilities' trash and recycling equipment
- Mechanical ability
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
- Forklift certification a plus but not a requirement (will train)
- High school diploma/GED
- 2-4 years of experience in the field or a related area
