Job Description
Debbie's Staffing is looking for 1st shift Custodioan for our client located in Rural Hall, NC to start Immediately!
Hours: 2pm-10pm Monday – Friday Mandatory OT as requested by client
Pay rate: $17.00/Hour(Monday-Friday)-Pay rate: $19.00/Hour(Weekends)
Overview: The Cleaning and Maintenance Worker will clean around the entire facility, including around machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings. This individual may also paint and perform minor repairs. In the event of an emergency he/she may be called to support necessary tasks in association with that emergency. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but management may identify other responsibilities of the position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning in all areas around the building, but especially in the areas of maintenance and production.
- Removes waste boxes from around facility. Uses compactor in a safe manner.
- Sweeps floors in designated areas. Mops as needed.
- Dusting and wiping of dirt/grime in designated areas.
- Empties trash cans in designated areas.
- Collects plastic waste and compacts it as needed.
- Documents ceiling tile replacement needs and replaces ceiling tiles if assigned.
- Documents light bulbs that have burned out.
- Documents vandalism
- Documents inventory of designated items
- Picks up trash around the perimeter of grounds
- Cleans outside area of all entrances to the facility.
- Cleans outside break areas and sweeps messes in parking lot
- Occasional use a blower to remove material from outside areas.
- Attends morning 8:30 start up meeting.
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual), if required.
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- Occasionally performs snow removal and other grounds keeping activities.
- Occasionally will be required to assist with special events.
- Drive a cart or other vehicle.
- May assists skilled trade workers in one or more areas performing specific or standard duties to learn new skills as required for advancement and certification.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
