Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is recruiting Maintenance Utilities Technicians for our client located in Kannapolis, NC!
Schedule: 12 hour shifts 6am-6:30pm 2,2,3 schedule
Pay: $22.00-$32.00/hr depending on experience. Weekly Pay! Temp to Hire!
Overview: The Maintenance Utilities Technician will perform preventive maintenance on utilities equipment along with supporting the department goals in accordance with company policies.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair boiler/steam systems.
- Maintain boiler/condenser water chemical systems.
- Maintain refrigeration, cooling tower, and boiler logbooks.
- Performance of duties assigned with focus on safety, quality (of product and task) and GMP’s.
- Execute work orders on time as assigned by planner/scheduler, manager, or other members of management as assigned in proper priority.
- Calibration of any/all equipment and instruments as assigned.
- Responsible for housekeeping of any and all work areas during and following performed work.
- Manage plant utilities systems to include but not limited to the plant refrigeration, boilers, HVAC, compressed air, Wastewater Treatment Plant, water chemical systems, and domestic water systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Successful Candidate Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- Wastewater experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs at a time.
- Must have reliable transportation.
