Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting a Maintenance Technician II to work for our client located in Winston-Salem, NC.
Pay Rate: $34.56/hr.
Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining complex manufacturing and tobacco processing equipment. This role includes advanced electrical and mechanical diagnostics, equipment calibration, and continuous system optimization to ensure peak operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Install, test, calibrate, modify, and repair a variety of electrical and electronic control systems.
- Support and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other PLC systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Profibus, ControlNet, and Ethernet communication systems.
- Execute productivity and technology improvement projects.
- Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency and DC motor drive systems.
- Maintain and calibrate high-speed quality control camera systems.
- Read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings from various equipment vendors.
- Use diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and volt-ohm meters to pinpoint and resolve issues.
- Calibrate and maintain multi-axis robotic systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective maintenance on system failures.
- Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and management regarding status and findings.
- Adhere to workplace safety, quality, and operational standards.
Position Requirements:
- A.A.S. degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control, or related technical field – or military equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components and circuits, with advanced troubleshooting and soldering capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with high-speed manufacturing or process control systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from engineering drawings and schematics.
- Comfortable operating industrial vehicles and working in dynamic production environments.

- Willingness and ability to work varied shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with tobacco packaging or processing equipment.
- Familiarity with MMI/PLC interface systems and navigation.
- Knowledge of SAP or other maintenance management software platforms.
