Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting for a Material Handler for our client located in Smithfield, RI 

Schedule: Monday to Friday - Starting 6:00 am 

Pay rate: $18.75 per hour. – Temp. to Hire 

Job Summary:  We are looking for a self-motivated Material Handler to join our warehouse department. If you are a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully, then we are interested in you. Responsibilities:

• Manually pick and stage correct warehouse items at the appropriate loading dock location.
• Use of hand-held scanner to locate items and move them to the appropriate dock door.
• Move any damaged or non-conforming items to the appropriate area for reclaim or RTV.
• Use of a forklift, reach truck or order picker will be required.
• Conduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards.
• Meet standards for quality as set forth by the company by inspecting product as pulled and/or loaded.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and organization on the loading dock and warehouse aisles.
• Strive to meet team efficiencies for items pulled without compromising accuracy.
• May be required to assist in unloading or loading trucks when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Forklift, reach truck, and order picker experience required.  
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lift heavy items weighing up to 75 pounds (or more if applicable)
• Knowledge of specific tools and equipment necessary to perform required duties.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work as a team player.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
