Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting for a Material Handler for our client located in Smithfield, RI
Schedule: Monday to Friday - Starting 6:00 am
Pay rate: $18.75 per hour. – Temp. to Hire
Job Summary: We are looking for a self-motivated Material Handler to join our warehouse department. If you are a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully, then we are interested in you. Responsibilities:
- Manually pick and stage correct warehouse items at the appropriate loading dock location.
- Use of hand-held scanner to locate items and move them to the appropriate dock door.
- Move any damaged or non-conforming items to the appropriate area for reclaim or RTV.
- Use of a forklift, reach truck or order picker will be required.
- Conduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards.
- Meet standards for quality as set forth by the company by inspecting product as pulled and/or loaded.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization on the loading dock and warehouse aisles.
- Strive to meet team efficiencies for items pulled without compromising accuracy.
- May be required to assist in unloading or loading trucks when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Forklift, reach truck, and order picker experience required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy items weighing up to 75 pounds (or more if applicable)
- Knowledge of specific tools and equipment necessary to perform required duties.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work as a team player.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
