Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting an Order Picker for our client located in Warwick, RI
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7 am-3 pm
Pay: $15.00 per hour - Temp to Hire
Job Summary: Work safely and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards.
You will be responsible for fulfilling, customer orders through bar-coded order picking with accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Process (pick, scan, count, label, pack) customer orders by identifying and correctly selecting the required item(s) as directed on the pick ticket/scanner.
• Perform verification of item picked to information on pick ticket and labels.
• Count parts using electronic scales.
• Create bag labels using label software.
• Carefully follow all instructions on picking tickets to properly bag/package and disposition orders.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse by performing daily and weekly housekeeping tasks.
Position Requirements:
• Solid math skills necessary.
• Experience in the use of bar code scanning devices, electronic scales and RF scanners preferred.
• Minimum of 1-year warehouse experience and familiarity with inventory systems a plus.
• Must be able to lift boxes up to 50 pounds.
• Close attention to detail to ensure accuracy is valuable.
Other Requirements:
• Applicants are subject to a criminal background check and drug test.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation to and from work
