Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is recruiting Outside Sales Representatives for a full-service building supply company in the following locations:
DC area – Arlington/Manassas; Martinsville, VA; Danville, VA; Christiansburg, VA. Qualified candidates should be local to these areas. These are direct hire opportunities.
Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 guaranteed (12% commission on gross margin)
Summary:
Our client is a full-service building materials supplier serving the needs of professional builders, contractors, remodelers, and homeowners by offering exceptional products, service, and expertise. Qualified candidates should have experience in the building supply industry, or lumber sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders; talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
- Quotes prices and approves credit terms.
- Prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and provides organized follow-up on all quotes.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
- Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Tracks stock levels
- Coordinates customer training
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into CRM.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- Attends trade shows and actively participates in trade associations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or 2-5 years outside sales experience
- Experience in building supply industry preferred
- Knowledge of lumber products
- Experience in a construction environment preferred
- Understanding of material take offs and blue print reading
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Must use own vehicle; client will provide mileage reimbursement
