Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting a Decoration Operator Assistant for our client located in North Attleboro, MA!

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $17hr
  • Schedule: 11:30am – 8pm, Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
 
Job Summary: 
As the Decoration Operator Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Decoration Team Lead in every step of the decoration process. This includes the preparations and maintenance of materials; however, you will not be required to operate the machinery yourself. This role will be a very physical and hands-on role which may require you to also assist other departments in completing their tasks.  

Objectives & Responsibilities: 
  • Help in the planning, operating, and creation of many different medallions and awards.  
  • Assists in the use of decorating machines as well as a computer to prepare and decorate various materials and components for decoration and assemble final products.  
  • Assists in the set up and preparation of materials for use on the decoration o Load and position the printing plates  o Adjust the ink supply and paper feed o Set up the printing press for each print job 
  • Reads and interprets art files and production plans to select, position and secure machinery.   
  • Assists in the preparation and completion of decoration materials and their after steps. o Both assembly and packaging of awards and medals 
  • Familiarize yourself with the standard operating procedures to be able to visually ensure everything is up to Standard 
  • Is aware of inventory products and helps the department keeps a 3 months’ supply at all times  o Communicates purchasing needs to the decoration team lead.  
  • Works as part of a team and communicates effectively with coworkers to accomplish the tasks of the company.   
  • Assist in all record keeping of the decoration machine o Quantity produced o Materials Used o Issues Encountered 
  • Pre-press knowledge is a plus 
Skills & Qualifications: 
  • A High Scholl Diploma, GED, or equivalent degree 
  • Proven experience as a production worker or similar role is preferred 
  • Should rely on experience from previous jobs and use instructions provided and personal judgment to plan and accomplish department goals.  
  • Performs a variety of tasks.  
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and Guidelines when operating equipment 
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. 
  • Technologically savvy 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, Google Suite, as well as Adobe Illustrator 
Language Skills:   
  • The ability to read and fully understand manuals, rules, guidelines, and other such information in English.  
  • The ability to communicate both verbally and written, in English 
Physical Demands 
  • This is a very active position where you are frequently required to stand and walk around as well as possess the Ability to lift over 65 pounds at maximum and 25 pounds consistently
