Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is looking for an Accounting/Finance Specialist in Greensboro, NC.
Hours: (Part time 20 hours) Monday – Friday 8am-12pm
Pay: $17.50 per hour, weekly pay
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry and Transaction Processing: Record and process financial transactions related to accounts payable and accounts receivable. Such as payments for utilities, vendor payments for supplies, materials, and other expenses. Record donor payments, fundraising payments, and other funds received. Maintain financial records and keep accounts updated.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, assist with budgets, and grant reporting and reconciliation.
Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
Communication: Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal team members to address questions or issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks), Microsoft Excel, Word, Email, and other relevant software.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience & Knowledge:
5+ years of general accounting experience, with experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable. 3+ years of grant reporting experience preferred. QuickBooks Online experience a plus.
Understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and nonprofit accounting practices.
