Debbie's Staffing is seeking Glue Room Technician Associate in Reidsville, NC.
This is a Long-Term Temp
Hours 8am-4pm & 4pm-12am Rotates 1st/2nd shift
Pay: $16.00 per hour!! Weekly pay!!
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for preparing, mixing, and maintaining all adhesive solutions required for production within the printing and finishing departments. This role ensures that all glue formulations meet quality and safety standards, supports continuous production flow, and minimizes downtime by monitoring adhesive inventory, equipment functionality, and application performance. The technician follows established manufacturing processes, conducts routine testing for viscosity and bonding strength, and collaborates closely with press operators, bindery teams, and maintenance staff to ensure optimal glue performance for each job. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepare and mix adhesive solutions according to established formulas, job specifications, and production requirements.
Set up, operate, and maintain glue room equipment, including mixers, pumps, viscosity meters, storage tanks, and glue application systems.
Monitor glue quality throughout the shift, performing routine tests for viscosity, temperature, and bonding strength to ensure consistency and proper application.
Adjust glue formulas or settings as needed to meet product quality standards and resolve issues with adhesion or performance.
Maintain accurate inventory of all adhesive materials, chemicals, additives, and supplies; notify supervisors when stock is low.
Label, store, and handle adhesive materials properly, following all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Clean and sanitize glue equipment at scheduled intervals to prevent contamination, buildup, or equipment malfunction.
Troubleshoot glue system issues Document production data, including batches mixed, test results, equipment checks, and any issues encountered.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE, chemical handling procedures, and OSHA/industry standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, helping identify opportunities to improve glue performance, reduce waste, and enhance production efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and assist in meeting customer specifications for glued products.
- Maintain a clean and organized glue room to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred.
• Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools and tape measures.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members
