Job Description
Debbie’s Staffing is recruiting for Maintenance Technicians for our client located in Salisbury, NC!
Schedule: 7:00am-7:00pm on a 2,2,3 schedule. Must be able to work every other weekend.
Pay: $23.00-$34.00/hr depending on experience. Weekly Pay!
Essential Functions:
- Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines, plant facilities and equipment.
- Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine servicing.
- Performs simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Performa mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust as necessary.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plan facilities.
- Must use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment and service.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report any unusual situations with proper supervision.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Adhere to company Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs).
- Other duties as assigned.
Successful Candidate Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production experience.
- Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to follow directions.
- Exercises independent initiative/judgement in work methods.
- Requires 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC and HVAC experience preferred.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to provide your own steel/composite toe shoes.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive motion type tasks regularly. This position is continually active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. While performing this position, the employee frequently works near powered forklifts, power tools, and automated assembly machinery.
