Location: Attleboro, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift

About the Role
Debbie’s Staffing is seeking an experienced Tool Maker for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Attleboro, MA. This position is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining tooling to meet part specifications, including jigs, fixtures, dies, gauges, machine tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, modify, troubleshoot, and repair tooling, fixtures, dies, gauges, and machine components.
- Interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce precision tooling.
- Operate manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and related machinery.
- Perform machining, grinding, fitting, polishing, welding, and assembly work while maintaining close tolerances.
- Troubleshoot tooling and production issues; operate presses as needed to evaluate tool performance.
- Inspect completed work using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges.
- Maintain machinery through routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and Lockout/Tagout practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen events, and scrap reduction projects.
- Assist with training team members and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Tool & Die apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of Tool Maker/Tool & Die experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong machining, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- CNC machining experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and work throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Lift and move up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Regular exposure to manufacturing environments, including machine noise, dust, heat, and moving equipment.
Preferred Certifications
- Authorized Lockout/Tagout training.
- Certified tow motor/forklift operator preferred.
